We are an established and privately-owned Motorcycles business who are active in the manufacturing of parts, using sub-contractors, and selling to trade and retail customers Globally.
The opportunity:
Due to the current Managing Director planning retirement, we actively seek an experienced, passionate industry professional to provide strong leadership, strategic direction and continuous improvement to grow and develop the business moving forward, whilst receiving the full support and encouragement of ambitious and knowledgeable owners.
Reporting directly to the business owners this is an excellent opportunity to play a pivotal role in helping to shape the future of our business.
You will be fully responsible for the entire global spare parts business encompassing the entire process chain from parts release, sourcing, manufacture, warehousing, distribution as well as parts target setting, planning, forecasting, pricing and reporting.
The aim is to provide the very best possible parts availability worldwide, delivered in the most efficient and effective manner in order to support the achievement of customer satisfaction, Retailer satisfaction and commercial business objectives.
Knowledge, skills & experience:
The ideal candidate will be an experienced automotive service/aftersales leader, with a great track record in managing an aftersales network in an Automotive or Motorcycle classic parts environment.
- Managing and driving teams to deliver service excellence, utilising your visible leadership style, extensive industry knowledge and strong communication and relationship building capability.
- Commercially and financially savvy, you will be a first class, high integrity character, leading by example, “in the detail” and with a real enthusiasm to achieve great things for you and your team.
- Extensive Automotive or Motorcycle parts logistics experience
- Proven ability to manage all aspects of complex supply chains from end to end
- Experience in analysing and interpreting financial data
- Strong leadership capability
- Passionate
- Broad understanding of global distribution challenges (legislation etc)
- Proven ability to act under pressure with calmness, clarity of thought and decisive authority
- Proven communication skills (written and verbal)
- Strong negotiation skills
- Solution orientated
- Highly IT literate
