Woods Motorcycles are the largest dealer in North Wales/Cheshire and one of largest in the North West. We are proud to retail the Triumph and Ducati brands, within a 10,000sq/ft warehouse. We employ 15 staff and are currently seeking personable, hardworking applicants for  the following position:

MOTORCYCLE SALES PERSON
We are looking for a person to join our very busy sales team. Preferably you will have had experience in either the motorcycle or car trade but this is not essential. Training with all manufacturers will be given. You must be IT literate, and be an unselfish team player. An excellent salary and bonus system is available. Weekend working on a rota basis necessary (a basic 5 day week) and a fun, friendly environment is promised, where your help will make the difference! You must be passionate about people and motorcycles, and be friendly, attentive and genuine to all our customers, No hard sell executives to apply!

Pay circa £20-30,000 dependent on bonuses earned and previous experience.

BIKE SHED HOLDS FESTIVAL AT RACE CIRCUIT



The Bike Shed is to run a new biking festival at Lydden Hill race circuit in Kent later this year, allowing retro enthusiasts to experience both on-track and off-road action. The event has been launched after the success of the Shed’s first CafĂ© Racer Cup, which took place at the circuit last year and will include a variety of other classes, including 125s, carbed sportsbikes and supermotos.

Interestingly, the festival, which will run from 4-6 October, will also include The Commuter Cup, which is open to riders in hi-vis on bikes with panniers and top boxes. Overtakes must be made with indication, or the place yielded. The Bike Shed is based at Shoreditch in London.

The event is primarily designed for those who have little to no track-day experience and have never considered racing, riders will be split into groups according to their lap times during practice, recorded via transponders.

Those wanting off-road action are also catered for by Malle London, who will host The Malle Trials comprising of a series of races on inappropriate machinery up the grassy hill beside the track.

Run as a weekend festival, pitches are available for tents, as well as showers and washing facilities. Glamping is also available, with tickets available through the Bike Shed Festival website.

A rewarding and exciting opportunity has arisen for an Area Sales Manager to join the UK’s most progressive and vibrant distributor of motorcycle hard parts and tyres. Well known and highly respected throughout the industry, the company was founded nearly 40 years ago.

Covering South England from home, the Area Sales Manager’s role is to generate the maximum amount of profitable sales through the achievement of sales targets and by making new and existing distributors and dealers aware of the Company's excellent product range.

Your responsibilities will include:


  • Generate sales to achieve maximum profitability against annual sales targets.
  • Identify and exploit new sales opportunities with existing and potential customers.
  • Monitor customer accounts within the allocated sales area to ensure that sales potential is fully exploited.
  • Establish and maintain effective communication links with other company departments.
  • Maintain accurate records of all sales activity and prepare regular forecasts to enable effective forward planning.
  • Develop knowledge and maintain awareness of company products and competitors.
  • Highlight and monitor any excessive debts and assist in collecting them as and when required.
  • Communicate customer feedback to all relevant departments to achieve the highest possible customer satisfaction across every contact point along the customer journey
  • Maintain contact with the sales office and distribution department in relation to account queries returns or damage to goods etc.
  • Attend and participate in quarterly national sales meetings.
  • Relay customer feedback as part of ongoing product development opportunities
  • Attend exhibitions and trade fairs throughout the UK and Europe

    The ideal candidate will have a proven successful background in field sales preferably gained in the motorcycle or allied industries.


The successful candidate will:


  • Be confident in presenting at all levels.
  • Possess excellent communication and computer skills with experience in using CRM systems.
  • Be well-presented and personable with the ability to build and maintain rapport with clients.
  • Have the ability to close on face to face sales.
  • Be target driven and have the ability to perform to KPIs.

    In return you will receive a salary of £27,500 basic, per annum plus commission resulting in the realistic OTE of £45,000 plus (uncapped), and a fully expensed company car, laptop, mobile telephone and company credit card.

An exciting opportunity has arisen within our busy marketing department, based at our UK head office near Woking, for a dynamic individual with an interest to develop their career within the motorcycle industry.
Reporting to the Manager, Marketing the successful candidate would be part of a team of four consisting of two other Coordinators as well as a Market Analyst.

The successful candidate will ideally have a flair and enthusiasm for digital advertising and be proactive with CRM systems. These being key responsibilities of the role, they will need to maximise opportunities for the business with potential end customer’s whilst further strengthening the brand with a customer centric approach.

Although dealing with both road and off-road product, there is a large off-road element to the role and other marketing activities will include but are not limited to:
Liaisons with and PR for race teams and riding schools. Exhibition and Event Management, visual identity support to our very important Dealer Network as well as building solid relationships with the press, colleagues in the UK and in Europe to ensure the maximum success of sales for all our product groups and achievement of our “one company” marketing initiatives.

Those that apply will need to be able to work in team environments, have a flexible approach and strive to better their knowledge and skills every day.

You must have a full motorcycle licence at the time of application, have a good understanding of IT systems and a marketing qualification would be considered an advantage, along with some relevant experience.
