Main Purpose of the Role
Management and control of the Prototype Department and ensuring production output meets quality and forecast requirements. Also responsible for management of the goods-in department, site security and maintenance.
Your responsibilities will include:
• Planning, executing, monitoring and closing prototyping projects
• Managing project team members
• Engaging with stakeholders and managing internal and external relationships
• Negotiating with suppliers and reporting on supplier performance
• Performing quality control checks on sample parts and production parts received
• Conducting status review meetings with team members
• Providing reports and documentation on project/product stages and progress
Skills/Knowledge
• Basic engineering knowledge
• Knowledge of product and manufacturing processes
• CAD/CAM experience an advantage
• Microsoft Office
• Project and people management
• Focus on customer satisfaction
• Highly motivated self-starter
• Previous, relevant experience in the automotive industry would be an advantage
• A keen interest in motorcycles is preferred
