Durham-based REALsafe Technologies has been named as a North-East winner of the Great Faces of British Business competition. REALsafe launched a safety-based app for motorcyclists in February 2013 which detects if a rider has had a crash and contacts the emergency services with their last-known location and medical details..

The company is now in the running to win the national competition and the top prize of £30,000 worth of government support. The winners will be decided by a combination of judging and public vote, so if you want to boost its chances, you can vote at:

The competiton was launched in 2014 in association with BT Business to find the most innovative and exciting UK companies.
