D30 Impact protection |
Brighton-based D30, a global leader in impact protection inserts for motorcycle apparel, is seeking to raise new investment of £10m to double sales from its current annual target.
Chief executive Stuart Sawyer has commissioned accountancy giant PwC to advise on recruitment of a private equity partner for the business, which received a Queen’s Award for Enterprise this year.
D30 produces a unique patented material, which it describes as “capturing the benefits of non-Newtonian shear thickening in polymers that can then be engineered for real-world impact protection solutions”.
This material already features in kit manufactured by an impressive roster of well-known bike apparel brands, including Belstaff, Furygan, Held, Icon, Richa, Rukka and Tucano Urbano. It also appears in own-brand clothing marketed by Triumph and KTM.
