Get those cameras out, or have a rake through those dusty old photographs, because the National Motorcycle Museum is holding a photography competition as part of its 30th anniversary celebrations.
The photograph entries will be judged during a free open day, on Saturday 1 November, by museum director James Hewing, a leading “classic” bike magazine editor and one of the star guests from the world of motorcycle racing. Shortlisted entries will be displayed at the museum prior to final judging.

Each image must specify the make and model of British machine featured as well as the photographer’s name and where the image was taken. Both professional and budding photographers are invited to contribute with copyright of all material submitted being granted to the National Motorcycle Museum.
Contributions are invited by e-mail to james@thenmm.co.uk or by post from the following age groups and in the following categories - Age Groups- under 12 years, 12-18 years, over 18 years; Best or Most Unusual Location, Best or Most Unusual Subject Matter, Humorous.
The National Motorcycle Museum is also running a ‘A Celebration of the Motorcycle’ exhibition in a pop-up art gallery. The show opens on 1 July. It will feature sculptures, paintings, photographs and alternative media art.
